By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Australian Consumer Law
Our products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, remedy, guarantee, warranty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
If there is any inconsistency between these terms and the Australian Consumer Law, the Australian Consumer Law prevails.

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, compatibility information, pricing, photographs and availability are accurate.
However:
-
Product images may be representative

Manufacturers may update product specifications or packaging without notice

Handmade and made-to-order products may have minor production variations

Vehicle specifications may vary by model, variant, production date and previous modification
If an error materially affects an order, we will contact you before dispatch and offer an appropriate solution.
Product selection and compatibility
Customers are responsible for selecting products appropriate for their vehicle, equipment, electrical system and intended use unless 12 Volt Hub has expressly confirmed compatibility based on complete and accurate information supplied by the customer.
Before ordering, customers should confirm relevant details including:
-
Vehicle make, model, variant and year
-
Charger or inverter model
-
Battery chemistry and capacity
-
Cable length and current rating
-
Terminal and eyelet size
-
Fuse requirements

Existing vehicle or accessory modifications
Recommendations are based on the information provided to us. We are not responsible for incompatibility caused by incomplete or incorrect information, undisclosed modifications or changes made after advice is supplied.
Please contact us before purchasing if you are uncertain about compatibility.
Electrical installation and safe use
Automotive and low-voltage electrical products must be installed, fused, configured and used correctly and within their published ratings.
Installation should be performed by a suitably experienced or qualified person where appropriate. The customer and installer are responsible for:
-
Confirming cable and fuse ratings
-
Ensuring secure and correctly insulated connections
-
Protecting wiring against heat, abrasion, moisture and moving components
-
Following product and vehicle manufacturer instructions
-
Testing the completed installation before use
-
Ensuring that modifications do not interfere with vehicle safety systems, warranties or legal requirements
Do not use a product if it appears damaged, incorrectly assembled or unsuitable for the intended application.
Technical information supplied by 12 Volt Hub is general guidance and does not replace inspection of the specific vehicle or system by a suitably qualified person.
Prices and GST
Unless stated otherwise, prices displayed on the Australian website are in Australian dollars and include GST.
Delivery charges and any additional services are shown separately at checkout where applicable.
We may change prices at any time before an order is accepted. A price change will not affect an order already accepted, except where there has been an obvious pricing, system or data-entry error.
Orders
Submitting an order does not automatically mean that we have accepted it.
An order is accepted when we confirm that it is being processed, commence manufacturing a made-to-order product or dispatch the products, whichever occurs first.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where:
-
A product is unavailable
-
Pricing or product information contains an obvious error
-
Payment cannot be verified
-
Fraud or unauthorised activity is suspected
-
Suitable freight cannot be arranged
-
The requested product or configuration is unsafe or unsuitable
-
We cannot reasonably fulfil the order
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled portion.
Product availability
Stock information is provided as a guide and may change without notice.
Products may be:
-
Held in stock by 12 Volt Hub
-
Manufactured or assembled to order
-
Ordered from an Australian supplier
-
Dispatched directly by a supplier
-
Available only by special order
Where an item becomes unavailable after ordering, we may contact you to offer a revised timeframe, suitable alternative or refund for the unavailable item.
Made-to-order and customised products
Made-to-order products may include wiring looms, terminated cables, configured electrical assemblies, vehicle-specific products and other items manufactured or modified to a selected specification.
Customers must check all selected specifications carefully before placing an order. Once production or material cutting has commenced, an order cannot ordinarily be changed or cancelled.
This does not limit any rights applying to faulty or incorrectly supplied products under the Australian Consumer Law.
Payment
Orders must be paid using an available payment method shown at checkout.
You confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method and that the payment and billing information supplied is accurate.
We may withhold processing or dispatch while payment is pending, under review or subject to verification.
Order cancellation
Contact us immediately if you wish to request a cancellation.
We may approve a cancellation before processing, supplier ordering, material cutting, manufacturing or dispatch has commenced.
Made-to-order, customised and special-order products cannot ordinarily be cancelled after work or supplier ordering has commenced.
Our full cancellation provisions are set out in our Return and Refund Policy.
Delivery
Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy.
Risk in a product passes to the customer when it is delivered to the nominated address, collected by the customer or collected by a carrier arranged independently by the customer, except where otherwise required by law.
Ownership remains with 12 Volt Hub until full payment has been received.
Returns, faults and warranties
Returns, faults, warranty claims and refunds are governed by our Return and Refund Policy and the Australian Consumer Law.
Contact 12 Volt Hub before returning a product. Do not send a product directly to a manufacturer or distributor unless instructed by us.
We may request photographs, installation information, test results or inspection of the product to assess a claim.
Manufacturer warranties are additional to, and do not replace, rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Misuse, incorrect installation and modification
To the extent permitted by law, 12 Volt Hub is not responsible for a fault, failure, damage or loss caused by:
-
Incorrect installation or wiring
-
Incorrect fuse selection or inadequate circuit protection
-
Overloading or operation outside published ratings
-
Reverse polarity, short circuit or incorrect voltage
-
Exposure to water, heat, vibration or abrasion beyond the product’s rating
-
Accident, impact, abuse or neglect
-
Unauthorised disassembly, repair or modification
-
Use with incompatible equipment
-
Failure to follow supplied instructions
-
A vehicle fault or modification unrelated to the supplied product
Each claim will be assessed according to its circumstances and applicable law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 12 Volt Hub is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the website or products.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded but may be limited, our liability is limited to the extent permitted under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this section limits liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.

Privacy

By placing an order, you consent to us providing necessary information to payment providers, freight carriers, suppliers and service providers for payment processing, fulfilment, delivery and customer support.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time by publishing the revised version on our website.
The terms applying to an order are those in effect when the order is placed, except where a change is required by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and the applicable laws of Australia.
The parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of South Australia and any courts entitled to hear appeals from them.
